We're please to announce many new features for our Elements CMS (Content Management System).  Elements can be configured with two new modules for use on your website, Purchases and Contests.

Purchases (formerly Payments) keeps track of all the purchases made on your website. It can track payments for goods and services you provide, donations, or as a complement to the Elements Inventory module. Purchases will work with Paypal and other popular credit card merchant services to provide a seamless buying experience on your website. Use purchases to export data from your website in CSV format and import sales information directly into your accounting software. There's no need to purchase expensive point of sale or subscription shopping carts; let Elements handle your eBusiness needs.

Contests is a new module that administers and manages form-based contests on your websites. Relying heavily on work we did for The BALSAMS Inn Bedded resorter contest, this module allows users to submit applications for your contest then provides both an "outscore" mechanism and an administrative voting mechanism to determine finalists. You can choose to allow the system to automatically determine the winner or you can create a list of finalists that a committee can decide on.
